    Updates and such

I added a two new albums, the 1st with 12 photos called, "After Sergei", referring to Katia Gordeeva's life after the loss of her husband, Sergei Grinkov.  The 2nd one is filled with just some of my favorite photos of Sasha Cohen , Alexei Yagudin, and Matt Savoie. :)

I happy with all the outcomes except for Belbon & Agosto. I was hoping they'd get gold.  But hey, there's always next year.

After seeing the piece on her and her mother, I knew she had to win, so her mom could get her kidney transplant. Her performance was above and beyond what I've ever seen a lady skater do in one performance. And I was hoping for Sasha to win, but Irina's performance was exeptional. After she was done and started to cry, I just imagined her saying,"Now, you can have your surgery, Mama". She knew she just HAD to win. She couldn't just try her best, she had to DO her best, so she could have her mother with her for a long time, and not watch her suffer anymore. Good job, Irina.

I think the new CoP(code of points) that replaced the old 6.0 is doing great. Seems like everything is coming out fair. I'm starting to enjoy my favorite sport even more.  I think since the judges are anonymous, they don't feel the pressure from anyone to vote a certain way.  Since their country isn't shown along with their score, noone get threatened by their own country if they didn't score the way they were told to. Ya know?

    Birthday

I had a good birthday, two days in a row.  I had a quiet time at home with my mother. The cake and ice cream was good, and for supper went out for McDonald's.

Today my sister wanted to get me something, so we went out to eat at the mall and then shopped around. I'm going back tomorrow, lol. I love their food court.

Sasha Cohen's switch back to 1st coach

I think after being coached by Tatiana Tarasova and then to Robin Wagner(Sarah Hughes' coach), returning to her original coach, John Nick's is a good idea.  She's back in her home state, back with her family, so she won't be homesick anymore, Homesickness can REALLY affect one's athletic performance.  Now that she's been pushed harder by Tatiana, had a break with Robin, I think John will how far she has come, and will have more to work with, and Sasha will have more focus.  IMO, I think Sasha would be a great Ice Dancer. :D

    My thoughts on Matt Savoie

I really love Matt Savoie's skating.  Him and Johnny Weir were at the same level last year, and then Johnny spent the Summer with Tatiana Tarasova, and then his skating shot up to a whole other level.  I think Matt's coach is wonderful!  I just think if she sent Matt up to Simsbury for the Summer, he'd be in good condition by the next season.  He has SO much potential, and I think his coach is just too nice to push him harder.
